What happened to the front of this one |
◊ 2006-12-21 21:46 |
It looks like one of those disguised prototype cars. |

Its 2027 year CX |

It is not used that much, I am not sure that it deserves 4 stars |

I saw this film yesterday and when i spotted this car I got a bit too excited |

It would be CX Safari? as it is filmed in UK and a converted UK example. |
◊ 2008-02-26 23:09 |
If that name was used in UK, yes, I guess. |

'Safari' was used for the ID Break on the UK market. CX wagons were called 'Estate'. |
◊ 2008-02-26 23:53 |
But on English Wikipedia page they mention Safari few times |

Curiously, also on ebay.co.uk, there are two owner's manuals that call it CX Estate... |
◊ 2008-02-27 15:32 |
Estate is then used just as body type I guess |

Thanks for those pics of sales brochures, Bent8rover! Never seen those before. I guess we'll have to rename the CX Estates on this site now... |

It'd be 41 years old in the movie. |

You can see the self-leveling suspension in action in the film. They always go to Citroën for futuristic cars /vehicle_3375-Citroen-DSpecial-1972.html ... |

They really didn't try with this one did they? And yet somehow upon first sight I thought this was a Volvo |
◊ 2021-05-09 10:43 |
Indeed. UK brochure shows just that (old ebay links above are dead now) And btw, Wikipedia is a great source but it doesn't always tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. |

Do we rename all Estate to Safari by default? |
◊ 2021-05-09 15:25 |
Probably, but unless seats are visible in the rear (the plain second row and the smaller third row of the Familiale, in different positions compared to Safari) you wouldn't know for sure Estate could be kept for the unverified ones? |
