Agree W 111, but I don't believe it's a 1968+. It has the pre 1968 door mirrors, which exclude the 280 models, and also the 300 models with the 2.8 litre engine. Otherwise the grill with many ribbons was replaced in 1968 with one with fewer ones of which your first link is a good example. The headlights had been a constant worry for Mercedes owners as the lights produced couldn't cope with the high speed the rest of the car could achieve, and many owner had to fit additional lights which were placed where the amber indicators (or whatever it is?) is on the U.S, models. I suppose that was the reason they introduced these headlights, first on offer in Europe on the W 109 300 SEL 6.3, but I believe they were on offer, or compulsory, in the U.S. for quite some time before that. I believe this is either, depending on when those lights were introduced, of a few suggestions: - 1961-65 Mercedes 220 SE [W 111] - 1965-67 Mercedes 250 SE [W 111] or - 1962-67 Mercedes 300 SE [W 112]. |
