One day I want to find a 1275cc Mk1 VdP, Riley, MG or Wolseley which were only sold June - Sept 67 and badged as 1275 (not 1300 as the Oct 67 onwards Mk2 were). Anyway the VdP owner is a pessimist with both AA and RAC memberships - what sort of disaster was he anticipating?

No - smaller = VdP 1100. Plate is March-June 67 = Mk1.
