With the weird variable rate Adwest power steering it was more like guess and God! The steering was quite low geared and twiddly for half a turn either side of dead ahead, then the ratio suddenly changed to mean that the front wheels turned a lot quicker. I upset my boss, whose car it was, and some folk on the pavement, by mounting a kerb with the rear wheels at a T-junction in Chesterfield. Forty-odd years ago.
