No relevance to this one but some info which needs stashing somewhere in case we ever find one, and this entry pops up as the first in our list so is as good as anywhere. There were 49 CKD Sapphire 346s assembled in Belgium by Liberty SA - all Series I 6-light saloons. Dates and explanation unknown, but as S1 they should be Oct 52 to Oct 54. There was also a unique and apparently very attractive DHC conversion by Minerva in early 54, but the only example built was scrapped long ago. |
