If that was the "Kurz-Quattro",was raced thru 1984-1986,if"Lang-Quattro"was raced thru 1981-1983 PS The tarmac-spec model lasted thru 1980-1990(last version,Quattro 20V,have the brochure) |

In fact,after deadly accident happened in 1986 at Henri Toivonen's Lancia Delta S4(rollovered and taking fire during an Italian rally stage),that fact put the end at Group B cars,too much powerful with outpout rates next to that of a F.1 racer...Deadly damages done also the Ford RS 200 Turbo,when at Portugal Rally,get off road,hitting the audiences'crowded along rally's route,killing one of those... PS That 1986 WRC was won by Peugeot,and Italian Importer,for advertise the event in TV-commercials,knew what background music theme chosen,showihg a mixed images of Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 when races???An hit of the"Europe",titled(incidentally)..."The Final Countdown"(!)Was just an end of an era... -- Last edit: 2007-04-03 00:43:55 |

I can't say sure, but could be. Mikkola was, of course, the first driver Audi hired to drive the Quattro. |
