So it's not like the instruction/rule is from the early days of the site, it is actually something that's been looked at fairly recently. If the board is filled with "Made for xxx" comments that aren't explained or obvious then these just get ignored, especially as there have been cases where people have asked for these tags to be added to obviously imported vehicles which are clearly not sold new in. If the site is increasingly filled with these comments it makes it more likely important comments get missed.
