First MY for EU was ‘91. Too obstructed for me to narrow. However, it does look to have a later grille. |

Don't know for each country, but I don't think it was introduced at the same time everywhere in Europe: for example in Italy it was introduced much later, in June 1997, and, if I recall correctly, in Germany came in 1995. -- Last edit: 2020-11-09 21:56:30 |

Seems Slovakia was January of 1990! https://www.autodoc.sk/auto-diely/kia/pride/pride-da Did However, the is clearly the 1991 facelift. The face lift occurred between August of 1990 and January of 1991 (rounded head lamps/bigger bumpers). Link to "pr.kia.com" 08/90 commercial. Notice the Beta has rounded head lamps and the two hatches have the 1987-1990 squared off style. 2nd 8/90 commercial: Link to "pr.kia.com" 1/91 with rounded headlamps on the 3/5-door hatch from the Beta: Link to "pr.kia.com" The grille fiasco is a mess as early models 3-door/5-door/Pop/sedan at one point all utilized different grilles... I believe I know the change over years I just want to double check press releases, commercials and IF I can find period specific brochures. |
