I disagree. The car in the picture has a Turret Top body, Fisher’s new, 1935 design for GM. Chevrolet introduced it in the Master Deluxe line; the new models had suicide doors. In 1936 the design saw minor modifications, the most notable of which was reversing the swing of the (front) door; now also the Standard line adopted the ’Turret Top’ styling. The ’35 Chevys with front-hinged doors (actually the EC Standard series) can be ruled out easily. Fitted with bodies of the previous generation, these cars still carried the ’Airstream’ look dating from 1933. The differences are obvious, you’ll spot them from any distance. |
