Yes, 1981/82 grill. |

1980 had this grill as well. There seems to be a misplaced "Nomad" badge on the rear door. The color scheme does match the 1980 Nomad brochure. Link to "oldcarbrochures.org" For 1981, the scheme changed a little: Link to "oldcarbrochures.org" -- Last edit: 2014-01-18 18:31:26 |

Should be listed as 1980-1982 Chevrolet Chevy Van Nomad. |

I'm not so sure, here is a page from the same brochure that says "Six Tough Models": Link to "oldcarbrochures.org" |

I don't believe the model name should be Nomad. The VIN breakdown only lists Chevy Van, Vandura, Sportvan, & Rally. No mention of Nomad in the VIN decoders as it is a trim level. See the 1979 & 1980 decoder PDFs. Should be ChevyVan with Nomad as extra information: 1979 VIN decoding: http://www.73-87chevytrucks.com/techinfo/73-91VIN/1979truck.pdf 1980 VIN decoding: http://www.73-87chevytrucks.com/techinfo/73-91VIN/1980truck.pdf Chevy model names are Chevy Van (commercial) & Sportvan (civilian). GMC model names are Vandura (commercial) & Rally (civilian). Decoding 1979 & 1980 VINs indicates the 2nd digit is the series. Here is a 1979 Barrett Jackson Nomad and decoding the VIN indicates it is a Chevy Van. Link to "www.barrett-jackson.com" The other listing should be changed as well... |

This issue is they do not wear "Chevy Van" or "Sportvan" badges. And where the model name badges are, they have "Nomad" badges -- Last edit: 2020-11-27 08:02:21 |
