Although a background vehicle its referred to in the dialogue as a chauffeur's car (limousine).

At this distance it is not possible to say whether this is a Triumph 1800 Saloon 1946-8; a Triumph 2000 saloon TDA 1949; a Triumph Renown Mk I TDB 1949-52; a Triumph Renown Mk II TDC 1952-54; or a Triumph Renown Limousine 1951-2.

The Limousine has an extended wheelbase, and a division between the chauffeur's seat and the rear compartment, and only 190 were made.

Found it...

1952 Triumph Renown
This car was also recently used in the Miss Marple episode “Endless Night”.

Shame that it carries such a noticeably anachronistic registration. Reversed registrations started about this time, but index letters beginning with "U" did not arrive until about 1957/8.

Ooops. Plate is 799 UXK (not UKX) and was not issued in period, so non-dated (modern?) re-reg for some reason. DVLA says:
✔ Taxed Expires: 01 July 2015
✗ No MOT Expired: 02 August 2013
Date of first registration :13 April 1954
Year of manufacture :1954 :o
Cylinder capacity (cc) :2088cc
Fuel type :PETROL
Export marker : No
Vehicle status : Tax not due
Vehicle colour :SILVER

My original typo... 'KX' rather than the correct '799 UXK'... (I have an in-built blind-spot having owned a 'KX' registration).

Plate info is 1954 - despite what hire company website says. As date of first reg'n is very precise, I tend to trust it. It is definitely a 52+ Mk2 in linked pics - push-button door handles and big rear window, but I also don't think it's a Limousine as no division apparent.

Yes, I was unsure about that also.

From earlier comments and the Marple episode itself, I assumed it was a Limousine.
