The DVLA lives to get it wrong again! There was no 1141cc engine in either Cowley or Oxford, and the last year of flatnose production was 1931. The 11.9hp 1548cc engine was fitted to Cowleys, the 13.9hp engine was 1802cc and fitted to Export Cowleys and to Oxfords. This car is a flatnose Cowley fitted with artillery wheels, and has the 1931 radiator shape, despite the Worcestershire registration number being from 1934. The 1934 Cowley had wire wheels and a thin bar down the centre of the grille, and there was no four seater tourer option. 1934 Cowley Link to "www.google.co.uk" 1931 Cowley Link to "www.google.co.uk" -- Last edit: 2013-12-19 16:03:21 |
