The most typical funeral car in Belgium, for some reason. When you're dead there's no other choice. |

Should this be listed as Chevrolet Caprice Classic due to the thick trim at the rocker panel? |

That's quite depressing. |

There are other choices. A funeral company in my area has a Lincoln MKT hearse, probably bodied by Eagle Coach, there's an importer in Belgium. But it's such an ugly vehicle. I've also seen Cadillac DeVilles. |

Usually in Brussels I rather see Lincoln Town Car, or at least newer Caprice/DeVille. Plate registered on 19-06-2009 -- Last edit: 2013-12-13 16:31:30 |

Why don't they use hearses based on European cars ![]() |

In Germany the Mercedes E-Klasse Bestattungswagen is the most common. |

That's actually really odd, using a Caprice for a hearse. |

The newer Caprice is indeed more common these days. Link to "www.kapaza.be" Bel Air hearse Link to "www.kapaza.be" I don't know why American cars for funerals. Prestige? |

Probably. I saw a non-hearse 90s Caprice Wagon this morning, I was surprised to see a "civil" version ![]() |
