One or two J-types were raced to quite good effect in the early days of saloon car racing. Being chassis-less doubtless meant a reasonably good power:weight ratio. As John says, though, unitary Vauxhalls had a reputation for rust, which is why so few Bedford PCs have survived - thank the Lord there are some peachy examples on imcdb.
