Not a Talledega; it lacks the trademark extended nose. It's rather a Torino GT. |

At one point it is referred to as a "Gran Torino". This is an error, Ford didn't use the Gran Torino name until 1972. |

It's actually referred to by the wrong name at least twice. Dino calls it a "Gran Torino", but before that, Monarch jokingly calls it a "Grim Taquito", which I think is meant to be an insult to the car. A taquito is a Mexican dish - the name literally meaning "small taco" - consisting of meat and cheese rolled up in a tortilla and deep fried. Sounds delicious to me, but maybe Monarch has different tastes. |
