@baube were the coupe trim levels the same in Canada for 1988-1989? I remember you saying you found an EX. Forget if it was sedan/hatch/coupe though. If they are the same this is an LXi by the body colored door handle. |

looks like we're in for a nice little headache once again 1988 hbk US : DX, LXi hbk CDN : S, LXi ( still need to a : find some hatch and b : a canadian ad where they actually show the back of the car ) sedan, US : DX, LX, LXi sedan CDN : DX, LX , Limited , EXi, ( there was a Limited version of the LX but i don't know what it gave more than LX ) coupe US : DX, LXi Coupe CDN : DX, LXi 1989 hbk US : DX, LXi hbk CDN : DX ( replacing S ) , LXi sedan, US : DX, LX, LXi, SEi sedan CDN : DX, LX, LXi ,SEi coupe US : DX, LXi, SEi coupe CDN : DX , LXi , SEi this is according to them : 1988 CDN 1988 US 1989 CDN 1989 US now the fun part : CDN LX has black bumpers ( confirmed, i knew someone who had one , despite having over 220,000 kms that thing was still running like new ) can't find any EXi in their listing but : Link to "www.kijiji.ca" https://www.flickr.com/photos/28370466@N05/25076338354/in/photostream/ http://www.cardomain.com/ride/414651/1989-honda-accord/ https://www.usedvictoria.com/passenger-cars/34710853/photos?i=6 https://www.usedcowichan.com/passenger-cars/32866395 seems like they exist according to my 1989 book , LX and EXi coupes were new for 1989 ( but i do find some 1988 ) SEi was on the sedan only here but appears also as coupe on the listing... starting to think there is something wrong and that your DX might be my LX , your LX my EX ( yeah, in my book there is an EX to mess things up a little bit more.. ) your LXi would be my EXi ( maybe they just slapped a canadian flag and let the american trims on the 1989 link i gave above ) my books says the hatch keeps the S trim but i don't get why it was available either with black bumpers or colored ones.. i hope you have a bottle of Tylenol not far ... .gif ";)") -- Last edit: 2021-06-10 11:53:43 |
