this is weird - the car was few times mentioned in the movie as "beige Ford".. |

It is only in details different from the Ford LTD. Mercury's are often reffered to as Fords. |

This is definately a Mercury. The vertical slotted grill is made to look like a full-size Marquis', while LTD grills are more open and have chrome running horizontally across. The side marker lights' lenses are clear on the front, and amber towards the rear; on an LTD, the lenses are completely amber. Third, the side trim is chrome on the Marquis, but black on the Ford. I have a mid-size '86 LTD, and I've grown to like these cars. |

Has studio prop plate of 6KLR363. That combination was fake then, but now it's real and on a '09 Nissan Versa. |
