But he never had a DS. I recall he had a Lincoln Continental/IV/V (because it had opera windows) but that's about it. I'll have to check my comics again.

One time he even had a Fiat 850 Spider (which, as with almost all of his cars, was damaged - Gaston t-boned it with his Fiat)

 Monsieur de Mesmaeker if I remember correctly. And yes, he always had showy, not elegant cars. The Fiat 850 Spider really surprises me.

 There was also a Gaston strip promoting people to take the bus, drawn by Franquin in his last years (I think ca. 1995 or so) where he had a Mercedes W140.

It belonged to his daughter - who instead drove an Alfa Romeo while he borrowed it, hence the inconsistency.

The character is named Parker in Norwegian, except for the first album where all the characters retained their Danish names (he's named Potter and I got really confused when reading it :D )

 Does he make a play on words every time he fails to sign the contracts (a running gag) in the Norwegian version, too?

Another time he had a strange muscle car which looked like a cross between a Mustang and a 442, with four or five letters on the back and the Mustang logo on the fender. Its roof was damaged by a falling tin of cat food that was dropped by Gaston's black-headed gull.
