Could this be a Leone Station wagon? |

Subaru Leone, Wagon, DL (the DLs were more square shape than the GLs more rounded bodywork). Often refered to as just a "DL" with the Leone omitted. My guess would be an 87 or 88 model. |

Subaru L-Series in Australia. This is a 1985-1989 model, due to the older style mirror and front indicator. Edit: actually, the above isn't entirely correct. The name L-Series was only used on some advertising material, as an umbrella term to refer to both the sedan and wagon. Each variant had it's own proper name, though. For pre-1985 generation naming, see my comment here: /vehicle.php?id=112146#Comment1502922 In 1985, the names basically carried over, with the base model known as the "4WD Station Wagon" (or 4WD Wagon), and the higher grade "4WD Touring Wagon". However, from around 1986 onwards, the names changed and the base model became the "1.8 DL" with the Touring being renamed "1.8 GL". Tourings had higher roofs only from 1985-1991 (approx). 1992-1994 models were all low roof, regardless of trim level. There was also a limited "Sportswagon" trim sold from 1988-1991. -- Last edit: 2021-03-13 23:24:11 |
