Am assuming 3 wheeler, but could be microcar/cyclecar etc. Nothing on plate check sites for CX 537, nor in Glass's info - which usually means a pre-1929 plate, but I'll throw it open for comments/ideas.

Yes, BSA 3-wheeler 1929+. IIRC has the advantage over the Isetta of front-wheel drive.

My Dad had one of these, with the twin cylinder Hotchkiss designed engine. Apparently it had a habit of backfiring when ticking over, after which the engine would run backwards, causing some difficulty when he tried to move off. When my brother and I arrived, (together) it had to go and was replaced by an Austin Seven. Chris is quite right in saying it was front wheel drive, Dad liked the concept and later bought a Traction Avant.

So 9 hp confirmed as model name? Seems our first one.

The engine was rated by the RAC formula as 9hp, so it seems as good a name as any, but all my reference books say "Three wheeler" and Sedgwick and Gillies adds "Model designations very complex".

Do we need to rename /vehicle_422767-BSA-Standard-1932.html ?
