Oddly enough one of the criticisms of the Shadow when it was first introduced was its resemblance to the Peugeot 403; this I suspect from folk who thought Rolls-Royces should have chassis. |

A separate frame, to which the body is bolted; unlike the monocoque hulls used by lesser manufacturers. (I have to admit I sympathised to some extent; it made life difficult for coachbuilders.) |
