The radiator shape is Buick-ish but as it has semi-elliptic rear springs it can't be a Buick so is maybe a willys-Knight? -- Last edit: 2013-08-20 09:22:55 |

It may be a '30 Whippet. |

Whippet didn't use that shape radiator. It has no front brakes so is pre about 1924. The style of headlights dates it to 1920 or 1921. It has right handdrive so is likely to be Australian-owned and not one of the cars imported from the US for the movie. -- Last edit: 2013-08-20 09:29:12 |

I wouldn't be so sure. Back then many cars in the US were RHD. |

Looks like a Studebaker Big Six to me, not sure of the exact year though. |

Now that you say it, it does have a very Studebakerish windscreen. |

You’re correct. I found what I believe to be the exact one used for the film on the Studebaker Club of New South Wales’ website. https://studebakercarclubnsw.com/Images/Vehicles/24tor-jd103.jpg https://studebakercarclubnsw.com/Images/Vehicles/24tor-jd105.jpg |
