Listing as 1986. 1983-1986 grille design but with gray bumper accent which came out for m.y. 1986. |

I must disagree; this is a stretch of a 83 Sedan DeVille. Note the clear turn signals and 4100 fender badge. |

Perhaps the lighting just makes the bumper edging look like the wider, gray type. How about one of your detailed ID primers on '80 to '92 large Cadillacs like you did for the Lincoln Town Car, Somename? -- Last edit: 2013-08-08 17:29:45 |

Sure, here are the grills for a start: 1980 1981 1982 1983 1984 1985 1986 1987 1988 1989 1990 1991 1992 Rear ends: 1980 1981 1982 1983 1984 1985 1986 Fleetwood Broughams add the CHMSL 1987 Broughams add red reflectors between the back-up lights and brake lights. 90-92 Brougham models have the red brake lights inset into white surrounds. Fender badges: 1980 models don't have a fender badge unless they are equipped with the extremely rare diesel option. 1981 models have the V8-6-4 badge. 82/83 models have the 4100 badge. -- Last edit: 2013-08-18 22:21:32 |

Do you know of any difinitive differences between '84/'85 and '87/'88? |

^I don't actually think there is a difference between the 84s and 85s. From what I can gather Cadillac was about to drop all of rear-wheel drive models, but the Brougham stubborly sold well. In 1988 the vinyl surrounded vent window became an option. But the best way to disginuish 87s from 88s is from the inside; shoulder straps became mandatory for back seat passengers. -- Last edit: 2013-08-09 04:15:33 |

Pardon my ignorance, but what is a "shoulder stop"? Do you mean shoulder belts? |
◊ 2013-08-09 04:16 |
^I'm sorry; I ment shoulder straps. Also refered to as belts. |

Those shoulder straps were mandatory for '90. Not all cars waited till '90. -- Last edit: 2013-08-09 08:46:44 |

The mansion seen in galloper's thumb looks like the one seen in A View To a Kill. It's in Oakland. |
