I see no nameplate over the headlamps so 1984.

Since there are now 3 pages for '84 Town Cars (plus one '85 model) on the Miami Vice page, I guess that from now on, I'll post anymore non-listed Town Cars (1984+) on this page. Unless anyone can tell me the differences between each model (just throughout the 80's). So far, all I know is the bumpers for the'81-'84 Town Cars are different from the '85-'89 Town Cars and 1986+ Town Cars have a Third Brake Light. Plus I'm sorry for my little fit on the 2 Fast 2 Furious Town Car page that happened a while ago.

A quick list of some differences:

1980 = Cars called "Lincoln Continental" with "Continental" nameplate over the left headlamp panel. Nameplates ON the rear lamp panel.
1981-1983 = Cars called "Lincoln Town Car" with "Town Car" nameplate over the left headlamp panel. Rear nameplates relocated from the lamp panel to the trunk lid edge.
1984 = "Town Car" nameplate removed from front altogether.
1985 = New grill, taillamps, bumpers.
1986 = Center brake lamp added.
1987 = No change from 1986.
1988 = New vertical bar grill with no nameplate on it.
1989 = Nameplate added to left side of grille.

Other readers, feel free to add other differences if any.
