From what I can remember, these trucks weren't called Hilux in the US. As a matter of fact, I don't recall a model name being used at all. Does anyone else in the US remember a model name? |

They were called Toyota Truck up until the early-mid 90s, when they became Tacomas. |

They were apparantly called Hilux in the US very early on, but changed to simply Truck in the late 70's or early 80's |

I would say it is a third to fourth generation Toyota Hilux. |

This is an '82-'83 based on the body style and the square headlights. It's not a 4WD though - not only does it sit too low to be a 4WD, but if it was a 4WD it would have a solid front axle, which this one doesn't have. The 4WD also has a different grille design from the 2WD. |
