It's Mini as make by this time anyway but I think Radford Minis are listed specially (if it is one).

Class is wrong too (Minis are listed as Supermini). Listing as Unknown so that someone can add more details.

How can a Mini be a Supermini?! By definition, Superminis were a class of car created after the Mini! It might be a small sedan but it's still a sedan.

Additional images, showing what appears to be wooden interior trim, tinted rear windows, Minilite wheels and a vinyl roof incorporating a full length sunroof. There's also a small wing badge. Is it a Radford?

They're all listed as one: /search.php?resultsStyle=asList&sortBy=0&make=Mini&model=ADO20

The European definition of a Supermini (as used on IMCDB) seems to be different from the British one. I found that strange when I first posted on the site too.

It's a Clubman or 1275GT. Another modification is twin filler caps, but it looks a luxury rather than fast version so I prefer Clubman. Radford is possible, but I've a hunch it's a Wood & Picket. Any front view would help - W&P Clubmen usually had a 4 light grille made from a cut'n'shut Victor FD moulding.

Doesn't make it correct, though ;-). The manufacturer advertised it as a saloon, so perhaps someone should change all the listings back to saloon :-)).

If that is so, then a lot of old VW beetles should be Limousines :-P

Why? Saloon has nothing to do with the size or level of luxury. You only need categories for Saloon, Hatchback, Coupe, Convertible, Pickup, Offroad, Van and Limousine. Supermini is a non-category, which was created much later. All 'superminis' fit into one of the above categories!

What I think he meant was Beetles used to be called Limousines by the Germans. A lot of them on the ones on this site are named as such: /vehicles.php?make=Volkswagen&model=Limousine&modelMatch=1&modelInclModel=on

Though it also works as a joke about the Mini's tininess :D

Back to the car - Wood & Pickett Margrave looks a close match - eg http://www.eurods.eu/wp/downloads/files/WP-Margrave-Mini-1973.pdf . Not an absolute confirmation yet, but looks pretty good to me. Also seems that by end of 1960s Radford were declining, with W&P taking over the posh conversions market (and key Radford staff) - http://www.woodandpickett.com/about/ .

To be strictly correct, a limousine should have a partition between the driver and the rear passengers.

Quote Wikipedia:

The limousine body style has a divider separating the driver from the rear passenger compartment.[6] This partition usually contains a sliding (often soundproof) glass window so that conversations between passengers in the rear compartment may be kept private from the chauffeur. Communication with the driver is possible either by opening the window in the partition or by using an intercom system. There are two alternative versions of the style. The Limousine-Landaulet has a removable or folding roof section over the rear passenger seat. The Limousine de-ville has a solid roof over the rear passengers but a removable or folding roof section over the driver's seat.

Limousine is German for Sedan, so it is logical that they are called Limousines.

Just thought I would search Wood & Pickett mini clubman and low and behold up pops my first car. Bought this for £500 in May/June 1983. Was 17 at the time. Fabulous car. Tinted electric windows, twin fuel tanks, full leather dashboard with many dials and switches full length sun roof and automatic.
So many happy memories. 😃
Also taught me a bit of mechanics, had to change the water pump on it & the head gasket used to blow every now and again. Had to replace the sub frame too.
Still fond memories thought.
