A preserved 1951 Commer QX-reg OAE198-does not have the chrome grille bars below the windscreen going all the way across the cab,a 1958 example-reg LSU422 does have this feature. If built in 1951 cab should have stubbier chrome grille bars below the windscreen and position of Commer badge will be uncertain has in 1951 the first facelift occurred and position of Commer badge changed from being separate and above the grille bars,to being part of the top grille bar. -- Last edit: 2014-04-16 20:15:41 |

Its about 1948-1951 - Sidelights in the wings and not the alloy steps says the chassis is Mk.I as confirmed by the date of registraion. It has been re-cabbed using a Mk.III intrim design (1957-58) by the grille including front and door mouldings. In addition to previous comments a Mk.I should not have rear corner glasses. -- Last edit: 2015-05-31 20:57:38 |
