So they burned something else, and the flaming photos do look faked substitute. Perhaps a Capri for size? |

More another scrap Firebird. |

I looked into these two burning thumbnails provided by Sandie shows that it has the 1977/78 front end Pontiac Firebird. |

No, the burning cars are definitely something else disguised as a Firebird. |

They put some kind of cutout and insert something at the grille, but the front end is really distinct. 1977-78 version: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:78Firebird1.jpg 1979: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:%2770-%2781_Pontiac_Firebird.jpg |

Five years later, but I stand by my opinion. Just look at how hackneyed it looks (and dsl's comment from 2013). For crying out loud, just compare the dimensions and details between the real 77-78 and that hunk o' junk in the thumbs. |

Thumb 1 probably genuine Fbird to match main (and a passing comment that its mirrors don't match each other). But compare differences between thumbs 1 and 3, particularly for vents etc below the bumper and narrow arches on the burner. |
