This scene was the reenactment of the Beltway Snipers' first attempted attack which occurred at the Michaels Craft Store at Aspen Hill in Montgomery County, Maryland at 5:20 PM on the afternoon of the 2nd October 2002. The bullet went through the window, narrowly missing the store's cashier; Ann Chapman and landed in the floral display. Since no-one was injured, no alarm was raised. A hour later at 6:30 PM, the Snipers killed their first victim; 55 year-old James Martin who was shot in the carpark of the Shoppers Food Warehouse on Randolph Road at Wheaton-Glenmont, Montgomery County, Maryland. Martin worked as program analysist for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. -- Last edit: 2019-03-12 17:37:10 |
