night cub ◊ 2017-02-23 01:18	So this one was left unknown as we tried to figure out if it was a Ford or Mercury. I replaced the main pic today that shows it is a 1969 or 1970 Mercury. I believe it was seen in at least two other episodes, 6.03 and 6.10. For this episode, they did now show this exact wagon crashing, they used old footage from episode 2.15, and this was shown as the aftermath: In Episode 6.10, there was a crash scene with a red wagon, where the damage would match this wagon: You can make out the vent window and Mercury taillights during the crash. The only close-up shows a front driver's side antenna and chrome top fender trim, which were only available on the 1969 Colony Park. From the guide books, I don't see a plain Marquis wagon available in 1969, but starting in 1970 (Looks like it replaced the 1969 Monterey Custom Wagon). The brochures don't shown any antennas, but looking at pics, it looks like the 1969 models had it on the driver's side, and the 1970+ models on the passenger side. The brochures don't show chrome top fender trim on regular Marquis, just the Broughams and Colony Parks. Here is probably the same wagon in Episode 6.03: So I'm pretty sure this wagon was the one seen in Ep 6.10, but to make it look like the Plymouth wagon crash in 2.15, was stripped of it's side trim and wheel covers and painted red.
