Within a couple of minutes (onscreen) and a couple of hours (plot time) the same Big Chief who arrived in /vehicle_600257-Daimler-Limousine-DS420-1970.html summons his car for another trip (which lasts several minutes and has external and apparently interior filming), but this time it has the plate 999 GXO and no badge in the grille. But all other features match, including the vinyl roof, rear quarterlights and front fogs. 999 GXO comes up as a blue 1970 Merc 250 first registered in 1972. Given the loss of the grille badge, they may be identical but separate cars, so for the moment keeping separate pages to see what happens in later eps but may merge later. As seen onscreen 999GXO has a floating date of 68 (launch) until late 71 when chrome side strip replaced by painted coachline. Captures below in screen sequence:
