Possibly A38(M) Aston Expressway (Birmingham) linking central Brum to Spaghetti Junction - uncredited location on imdb. One of the few stretches of UK motorway without central reservation - the centre lane was designed to operate reverse flow according to traffic conditions (not sure if they still do it?). Expressway starts at Aston Fire Station (location for scenes in later eps of /movie.php?id=2303687 ). |

Yeah, I noticed the lack of a crash barrier in the middle. Hope there's no head-on collisons (which would be fatal at motorway speeds) |

Is the pink Ford Ka anything special? |

Looks like just an ordinary Ford Ka painted pink. Only appears for a fraction of a second but I decided to include it in this capture |

The central lane was controlled by traffic lights on the overhead gantries and only opened at heavy use periods (rush hour). |

Surely not a 4-series, rather a P-series so 2004 onwards. |
