cl82 suffers an unfortunate involuntary reaction whenever he sees a dsl-car. |

Well, at least now I know that this is not a japanese car as I thought at first, in the case I had necessity of more proofs about my non-existent knowledge about old cars... |

@ElSaxo: As Sandie already indicated: It's nothing against you, it was just a try to bring dsl out of his shell. Is it an Arrow or a Minx? |

Arrow was the name for the series of cars with this body shape, not of a model, the series including Minx/Hunter, Gazelle/Vogue, and Humber Sceptre, the previous series of Minx derived vehicles was called Audax. In UK, the basic looking body, no chrome or overriders, would mean that this is a Hillman Minx. Early Hillman Hunters also had round headlights, to distinguish them from the Singer Vogue, but later had rectangular lights. In some export markets the cars were badged as Sunbeam, so this might possibly be a Sunbeam Minx in Italy. There appears to be a Minx badge on the front door in the main picture. -- Last edit: 2013-05-06 23:51:09 |

I know, I was simply blaming myself. ![]() |

As the first car I drove was built in 1931, and I owned several Hillman Hunters from new, this is not what I would consider to be an old car! -- Last edit: 2013-05-06 23:45:27 |

Agree Minx, probably 69+ Minx Deluxe for side chrome. But I don't think it's Italy (RHD for a start, plus see the airline signs in /vehicle_593823.html , which also looks as if there's A Humber Sceptre behind) so I think we're in the Caribbean, probably on an ex-UK territory island. Most RHD export markets stayed Hillman (without Sunbeam rebranding), plus there was some local assembly in Trinidad. Edit - and Jamaica, which I've just spotted is listed as location on main page. -- Last edit: 2013-05-07 01:01:24 |
