The 25/30 and the Wraith are two different models, the Wraith being introduced in 1939, with a welded rather than riveted chassis and IFS rather than a solid front axle. So not likely. -- Last edit: 2015-08-04 23:41:22 |

I think you may be correct, but it is very difficult to tell unless you know the car. It is also equally hard to call the coachbuilder, which is half the identification of these cars. |

It is most definitely a Phantom III and by the way the 25/30 h.p. Wraith is the full name of the Wraith model. |

The 25/30 is the earlier series of cars, with a beam front axle and no model name. It was in production from1936 to 1938 and was roughly equivalent to the 4 1/4 Derby Bentley. The Wraith was still 25/30 in respect of its 4257cc engine, but had a different chassis with ifs, and was roughly equivalent to, although far more common than, a Mk V Bentley. (491 produced as opposed to 11.) My view would be that you can call the Wraith what you like, but it must be clearly different from just 25/30.
