My favorite car in the whole movie. Not because it does anything cool, but because this generation (with these tail lights) are so rare to see on screen. Great car. |

In late 1986, AUTO BILD tested seven American cars that could be making a potential comeback in Europe, one of them being the new Bonneville: December 8, 1986 "Almost a European." "The new Pontiac Bonneville SE is voted most likely to succeed on the German market. Outside and in it is thoroughly European. [With its modern body, the Bonneville has lost almost all that remained of the giant landyacht that was its predecessor. The way it looks it could have easily been designed in Rüsselsheim (Opel).] Its round shapes with the successful proportions remind of SAAB 9000 and Opel Omega. Inside, the driver is informed of RPM and speed not through digital readouts, but modernly styled instruments. The 3.8 liter V6 produces packs a surprising punch. It starts right up from low revolutions, shows no signs of holding back and pleases the ear with a peppy sound. The automatic shifts almost jerk-free. Within the cover of the leather steering wheel are the controls for the radio." Price: 53 500 DEM (about 25,000 euros or 28,800$) -- Last edit: 2023-06-02 21:27:01 |
