This would make it manufactured between 1979 (black over-riders) and 1985 making it an Austin FX4 or Carbodies FX4R and not a Fairway I believe. The V registration as said before making it 1979-80 so Austin FX4. "1985...would see the loss of the chrome bumpers, with the FX4S featuring far cheaper rolled steel items designed and made in-house at Carbodies." Austin-Rover.co.uk
