Morris LD with Wadham body - however the windscreen is unusual for me being flat and not wrap-around so this could indicate a certain build date or type. |

Yes, I agree, not your standard Wadham GRP build. In fact these models were all metal bodied ( a mix of steel panels and aluminium strips) built by Wadhams at Waterloovile, from about 1962 to 1969. They were known as the 'Serene' and were the preferred body option, and used in large numbers, by Hampshire Ambulance Service. Most of the models featured in TV and film were in fact ex-Hampshire examples including 623 JCG (appeared in General Hospital) and 252 FCG as featured here. |
