There is no Hyundai in Japan. |

And isn't this film made in China? There are Dongfeng-trucks here, which aren't sold in Japan or South Korea (in North Korea they are). |

The bridge in the background is the Pont de Bir-Hakeim, so unless this is a visual effects shot it's a real Paris location. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pont_de_Bir-Hakeim |

Here are the Mitsubishi cars seen here: /vehicle_572563.html next to a Chinese-spec Peugeot 207: /vehicle_572562-Dongfeng-Peugeot-207.html I think it's a fake Paris background in these pictures. -- Last edit: 2013-02-12 20:06:44 |

Or they just had doubles for the Pajeros in Paris. Mitsubishi have had product placement in Jackie Chan films for something like thirty years. P.S. There's a matching Pajero otuside Notre-Dame with a 2CV and a Renault Traffic in /vehicle_572564-Citroen-2CV.html -- Last edit: 2013-02-12 20:23:23 |

Time of main pic: 00:32:33 The scene with the Mitsubishi cars on the bridge seems indeed to take place in a fake French location, and it's not the only one. Or maybe the 207 sedan is a product placement, and the movie crew brought these cars in France. But we can assume this one is shot with the true Bir-Hakeim bridge as background, like the "Mitsubishi doubles" are on the true Trocadéro esplanade. These background monuments seem really not to be made by visual effects: (The night view show how narrow the wharf is, like in the movie. Click...) (00:14:34 - Click...) The only weird thing, in fact: when passing the trocadero this way, they go in the opposite direction to the "Port Débilly", where the barge is @Gag Halfrunt: the 2CV and the Renault Trafic (one f ) are facing the Notre-Dame cathedral because they are going away from the 36 Quai des Orfèvres, the headquarter of the "Police Judiciaire de Paris" that is on the same island as the cathedral, the "Île de la Cité". Jackie Chan couldn't be taken to a small police precinct -- Last edit: 2014-06-02 12:30:35 |
