One much used by the Terminator, and others used as normal police cars.

In some scenes, the car's appearance alters between a Monaco, and a '78 Plymouth Fury :D

I would think the LAPD would have something newer.

This was in the chase between the Caddilac. I love how Arnold just Smokes the tires on the Monaco, with little effort.

Ahh, the quintessential Police car. I loved these, wether it was the Monaco, or the Fury. And, as amazing as I find it to admit, no one can really disagree that much, these cars were not bad looking for their time!, I'd drive one.
I did find that as one watches the scene where the Terminator is chasing in the Police car, if one looks close, the decals used on this car don't look right, and I guess no one really cared about that given the sorry state it ends up in towards the end....of the chase with it slamming into a wall.

I'm agreed with car-smasher, in fact, the Monaco/Fury that's used seems a little "fake" - the decals on the door/panels look like they were magnetic labels slapped onto the car where the other Police cars seem to have a better label application.
