It almost reminds me of a Mercedes, but it can't be. I need to see this movie again...for the fintail chase scene if anything. |

It looks a bit like a Ford Model A but smaller & lower, Citroën? -- Last edit: 2006-10-04 05:17:24 |

It is not a Citroën, that is sure... the letters on the grill should help, but I don't know about it |

I almost thought it was a Studebaker, but I looked it up and I didn't see one with such prominent grille writing. |

Pour moi, c'est une Oldsmobile de 1927!!! |

1927 Oldsmobile Touring ( model 30 e six, the last year of the model 30 that was replaced by the new F-28 six in 1928) |

It can't be a 1920s Oldsmobile because, acording to Wikipedia, Oldsmobile didn't start making proper cars until the early '30s. |

It is a 1927 Oldsmobile 30E Tourer. I have the same car - in Aquamarine and black. The only difference is the one in the film had the bumpers!! |

I thought the grill read 'Austin', so it could be a 1927 Austin 16 - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Austin_16 |

Nine years later... |

Maybe some admin should change it now? |

Did Mercedes really make a car that looked like this and had that kind of grille badge though? I just find it unconvincing. |

I sent a mail to Mercedes, asking if they could identify it. They told me that this is certainly not a Mercedes, just to be sure. |

The grill is Mercedes Typ 8, no Oldsmobile http://www.conceptcarz.com/z22943/Mercedes-Benz-Typ-8/38-PS.aspx the close up to the logo is very different in Oldsmobile Link to "upload.wikimedia.org") -- Last edit: 2016-01-05 05:01:59 |

It's a Mercedes-Benz for sure. Could be a type W11 10/50 Stuttgart. |
