7th on site, unbelievable, as in my impression should have had appeared in many movies?!
Maybe it´s because of watching North by Northwest, so often.

Except that one of the PD-4501's is a blank:

Maybe somebody should work on that movie.

think so, 2axle variant PD-4104 with similar face, but GM logo instead of Greyhound
http://gomotors.net/GMC/GMC-Coach-PD_4104.html
now i found some more on IMCDb registrated as GMC instead GM :)
/vehicle.php?id=306398&l=de
GM would be correct due to badge (fully name was GMDD but sounds like beeing a rapper :D

Others are listed as GMC
/vehicles.php?make=GMC&model=PD+4501&modelMatch=1&modelInclModel=on

Why can't it also be a PD 4104?

Not sure is that footage from movie. Maybe reportage, documentary, or even filmed especially for title tv-movie, but, yes, its filmed in North America.

here restoration of very first and last PD-4501 prototype 1001 of 1000 built !
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xsiSOgWYagY
setup on design mockup as experimental testbed in 1954 GM decided to deliver it as regular bus at the end of the line in 1965
kind of giveaway to contracter Greyhound, pay 1000 and get one for free.

I have to agree with you on that. The PD 4501's looked a lot lower and wider in the area of the windshield and first few seats.
