Ford Expedition Trivia: Bet you didn’t know ... For the 2005 model year, Ford débuted a new Western Themed trim level for the Ford Expedition. It is known as the "King Ranch" Edition, inspired by and sourcing its name from: The King Ranch (est. 1853) which was founded by Richard King and Gideon "Legs" Lewis. The King Ranch sprawls an outrageous 825,000 acres across several counties in the State of Texas, making it the largest ranch in North America. The US State of Rode Island would fit inside the ranch without touching its borders. The King Ranch’s Official logo is known as the "Running W", which is featured on and inside the Expedition along with King Ranch emblems and special leather seats trimmed in "Castano" or "Chaparral" Leather. The King Ranch is positioned along side the Limited Edition as the Expedition’s two top High-End trim levels. |
