Series IIA, judged not only on the round front apron and absence on chrome rings, but also on the number plate itself, which is a suffix plate, maybe on a G or even a Q suffix. I think the bonnet is from a 88" model too, as even though it is a 'deluxe' bonnet, it doesnt appear to feature a recessed bit for the bigger tyres on the 109" to fit in (so you can see over better!!)

I don't think there is such a thing as a Q-suffix plate, but that's what it appears to be.
Must have been made-up for the film.

The film was set in the near future, so they skipped a few date letters ahead. Q would have been August 1976 – July 1977, but it was missed and R was used instead.

I have just purchased a series 2a station wagon, which i have the paper work to say that stanley Kubrick the director of clockwork orange owned my series 2a. she was registered in 1968, i also have a snippet from a book, auto biography of kubrick's life, he used the series 2a to carry the film cells from clockwork orange to the lab to be edited. now i need to find out if my station wagon is the one used in the film!!!
