This looks like a 1 1/2 ton model, so it's within the 4000 Series. Without a hint of the wheelbase, I'm stumped regarding whether it's a 4100, 4400, or 4700. -- Last edit: 2013-02-01 15:08:26 |

The genuine writing is Advance-Design, with the hyphen. As Ddey65 said, it's a 4000/6000-series model: ![]() 4100 & 6100 were based on a 137" (3.48 m) chassis, 4400 and 6400 on a 161" (4.09 m) one. The picture of the movie doesn't help ![]() Seems to be a '47-'50 model year (no vent windows, introduced in 1951). More precisely: - gas tank was under the bed until '48. In the picture, it's in the cab; - due to the hood side emblems which seems to be on 2 lines, I'll says it's a late 1949/1950 model (the previous "Chevrolet Loadmaster" name was written in a single large emblem; in late '49, the emblem changed into a 2 lines "Chevrolet 4xxx/6xxx" one). 1950 Chevrolet 4000-Series Stake [Advance-Design]? |

As said before, it could be a 4100/6100 stake (137"/3.48 m wheelbase) a well as a 4400/6400 one (161"/409 m wb). But even if the wheelbase is visible, there is nothing in the visible parts to tell the difference between a 1½-ton 4000-Series truck from a 2-ton 6000-Series one. ⇒ 1950 Chevrolet Advance-Design Stake |
