dsl ◊ 2012-11-24 02:59	I put this in because we have no other 234 (1955–58, 803 made) or 236 (1955–57, 603 made). As far as I can tell, no external difference, it was just a choice of 4cyl or 6cyl engine - anyone able to confirm? Default as 234 for lower spec and there were more of them.

johnfromstaffs ◊ 2021-09-27 20:12	No visible differences from the back afaik. However: The 236 used the dated, gutless 18hp six cylinder engine from the Whitley, 2.3 litres 85bhp but smooooth. The 234 used 4 cylinders of the 346 engine, 2.3 litres 120bhp but rrruff. Like many things in life all that glisters may not be a Sapphire.
