Please edit as Chevrolet, not GMC ;)

GMC is written at the back, but in front it looks like a Chevrolet-logo...

Front grid is indeed a Chevrolet one (I only looked at the main pic). Did they use two cars? Has the car used been repaired with compatible material from the sister make? Otherwise it's maybe a ChevMC or a GMvrolet :D

I'm admin yes. Definetely when I'm 99,99% sure of my case, or concerning the pics/movies I posted. When any doubt, I do not edit anymore (I remember I did something wrong some weeks ago for two US 40's/50's cars with tralala names, and people got angry. So I took this as a lesson learned ;) )

But what is this car: A Chevrolet C-10, or a GMC C-10...?

Maybe waiting till our US peers indentify it... (to edit back as Unknown C-10?)

more likely a GMC with a Chevrolet grille than a Chevrolet with a GMC grille I would say (unless the whole truck was repainted) if we only had a pic of the fender

Id say its a 1975 Chevrolet K-10(note the front axle hubs...4X4) w/a GMC Tailgate. Comments?

I don't know I'd say 1975 GMC K-15 with a chevrolet grille (looks like on original paint job and it would be much easier to replace a broken grille than replace a tailgat and repaint the entire truck

Two different trucks! The front view is a Chevrolet K10 (1/2 ton 4x4)as Firebird noted by the front hubs. The rear view is a GMC C25 (3/4 ton 2wd)...as noted by the full floater rear axle and the independent front suspension.

It's a Chevy C-10, no doubt.

Theres plenty of doubt.

Delta Fox, which part of the two truck description is not clear? Chevy K-10 front view & GMC C-25 rear view...

Delta Fox US

2006-11-03 22:28

It's perfectly clear. I do have another theory: The Chevy is actually a K-20, & the original tailgate was damaged so they had to put on a GMC tailgate (but they didn't bother checking). That, or they messed up one take of this scene & used a similar looking truck without looking twice.

4x4peru US

2006-11-04 03:42

Front view Chevy truck is 4x4. Rear view GMC truck is 4x2...independent front suspension. Two trucks!

Delta Fox US

2006-11-11 17:20

So my second theory sounds better. Perhaps they messed up one take & used a similar-looking truck without giving a second look. That's what I think, anyways.

4x4peru US

Delta Fox, that is the best theory. I've rented trucks to Hollywood and they do not have a clue!!! "Just make the shot look good" Not interested in accuracy!

Police car fan, could you get another capture of the pickup from the rear (like in the third thumbnail) but showing more of the front axle?

The Chevrolet grille is a replacement, from the 1975 model year only, as it has the engine displacement in the third row of the second column (counting from the drivers side). Chevrolet stopped putting the engine displacement on grilles for 1976.

The pickup (which is a GMC) is newer due to the dual front lap-and-shoulder safety belts introduced for the 1976 model year. So the truck is far newer than the grille, plus it does not fit properly. All badges say GMC, and the equipment level badge says Sierra.

No Chevrolet pickup was used.

Awesome, thank you very much. They are exactly the captures I needed.

They show the truck to be a C-25 (three quarter-ton, rear-wheel drive).
