Main looks like 1962 (F Junior) 22 or 1964 (F3) 31 - http://www.f3history.co.uk/Manufacturers/Lotus/lotus.htm - possibly 31 as newer for film date. The colour thumb from DVD extras has too many cylinders to be anything other than F1 (Coventry Climax V8) - probably 64+ 33. |

The car featured in the action clip is Jim Clark winning the 1964 British GP at Brands in a Lotus 25. The stand-in car, painted to look like a works Lotus (green with yellow stripe), is actually a Brabham Formula Junior, probably a BT6 from circa 1963. the giveaway is the style of wheel and shape of the rear of the tail section. The engine, as seen in the colour shot and the sixth of the row of B&W shots, is a 4-cylinder 1600cc Ford, with two twin-choke carbs on the left-hand side of the engine |
