The Houston Police squads are real - HPD used the square body Crown Vics c. 1982-87 until the department switched to the Caprice 9C1 c.1988-96. The Caprices used during this era were powered with an L03 or the baby LT1 until GM phased out the B platform, where they went back 2 the Blue Oval in 1996 (HPD used the Aero Vics for 2 years; the department currently has the 2011 model which were pre-ordered which are painted in the black and white livery (100 squads were painted using $30,000 from asset forfeiture funds which also includes some Chevrolet Tahoes - same as the LAPD, Dallas, and Austin PD... |
