I keep thinking of an old White, but I don't know why. |

That looks a lot like an old Kenworth body. The roofcap on it looks an awful lot like the roofcap on my 1955 Kenworth school bus. The doors even sligtly resemble an old Kenworth. Either it's an old Kenworth, or a Gillig. |

The bus gods have spoken, and unfortunately, that bus body is NOT a Kenworth. I've confirmed that via photographic comparison between this and a Kenworth-built bus body I just recently photographed on a GMC "School Bus" chassis. |

The gods have spoken once again, and through a revamp of their website, I'm now certain this bus is a Blue Bird ca. late 1930s. Here's the linky to confirm. http://www.blue-bird.com/general.aspx?id=66&quickid=68 Go down to "1937" in the timeline. You'll see an identical bus with different chassis. |
