A mixture of Dodge Diplomat body with a Chrysler Fifth Avenue front end, minus some pieces. Involved in a chase scene at the begining that uses part of the chase scene from Basic Instinct. |

I can't see a CHSML so that makes it a 1981-85. Maybe the black wipers narrow it down to a 1984? |

Ugh, another cobble work mess. |

No, I think this one is actually a rare Dodge Diplomat SE, which is basically a Diplomat with a Lebaron/Fifth Avenue-ish front end /vehicle_52631-Dodge-Diplomat-1986.html |

SE would have a horizontal bar across the grill as well as a vertical one. |

I thought about the SE, but the car is too basic to be one. The interior is very "cop-car" plain, with vinyl seats and no luxury trim, and it doesn't have the vinyl roof that came with most of the SEs. The grill is from the Chrysler. It would be a lot easier to replace the front clip with one from a Fifth Avenue, than it would to strip the interior and replace it with plain materials. The car was obviously repainted to match the one in "Basic Instinct", as shown by the open door. |

But comments above say it is not a SE |

Aren't those Plymouth tail lights? |

This is a car with no model year. It's just a bunch of mixed m-body parts. A Chrysler front end clip with a dodge body. |

This car is an '84 or '85 Chrysler Fifth Avenue: look at the back door and you can see where the trim for the vinyl top used to be,also look close at the headliner and you can see Fifth Avenue only handles, and even though the licence plate is in between the taillights it has a Fifth Avenue bumper, the front passenger door has a Gran Fury/Diplomat door panel, but the door could've been replaced, along with the seats, it looks like someone tried to make it look like a cop car, all the chrome trim has been removed, and notice the wheels are really just steel wheels with the centers painted silver? -- Last edit: 2018-02-14 09:47:19 |
